Dog Obedience
Janet Neuman and Frankie at a recent Shell Beach "Just for Fun" dog show. Frankie shows off his reading skills. Janet did NOT cue him either verbally or non-verbally. She just showed Frankie the cue cards, and he did what it said. Frankie was a dog rescued from the Merced Pound kill-list at 4-5 yrs old. For those who incorrectly think you have to get a puppy to "teach it right", Frankie's learning ability shows just what you CAN teach an adult dog. It just takes a human with patience and the right skill.
Frankie showing you can teach an "old" dog new tricks.
Janet Neumann Pawsabilities - Janet does basic obedience training and advanced obedience training. She also teaches dogs to become service dogs to people with physical disabilities. The dogs learn to become "hearing" dogs for the deaf, help stabilize those who have suffered a stroke, to alert to siezures, diabetic distress, and to be of general "service" to their human companions in numerous ways. Janet has trained several of our fosters, Forrest, Frankie, and Domino, to become service dogs for their human companions.
